50 In 52 Journey interview of Jean and David Wallace. The Wallaces have found a gem of an idea that works in helping young teens of today. It all comes down to empowering them and what the Wallace's have done is help to empower them by helping them start a business. Watch this video to see how this couple have been helping teens run a business for over 9 years and be inspired by what a great impact this has on our youth, the community and this country.
Next we meet Sharon Shannon. A Drum Circle Facilitator Sharon knows all about the rhythms of life and how to tap into them. Watch this video of a woman who spent much of her life working with people to help them connect to their rhythms and learn about cultures they normally wouldn't have thought about. Moving communities forward one beat at a time this video shows how one person can truly make the difference in the lives of others and help move this country forward.
In Billings we interview Sherri Cornett. Sherri is a sculptor of socially engaged art. With a passion for helping people communicate and learn, she created an art exhibit designed to bring women together to learn from one another. Watch this video and be inspired by one woman's passion to help the younger generation of women learn from previous generations and how she is truly making a difference in her community and her state, and soon all across the country.
Still in Billings the Journey interviews Omi Preheim. Omi is a people person, and with a diverse background of skills, parents with teaching and medical backgrounds, she has found her place in life and that place is to bring people together. Watch this video of a remarkable woman who's business is consulting for creative change but who's purpose is to bring people together and help them find their own passions. People helping people is what the Journey is all about and Omi is a wonderful example of a woman who is making a difference in the lives of people in her community, in her state and ultimately moving this country forward.
Our tour of Big Sky country takes us to an interview of Gayle Seratt and Katherine Regier of the Sophia Center of Montana. As part of women's groups in an area of Montana so remote it doesn't qualify for 'rural' status, but is actually considered frontier, these two ladies decided to hold women's workshops and weekend retreats. Watch this video and see how anything is possible if you just take tiny steps forward. Be inspired by how these women too a dream and made it a reality and are helping women all over the country.
Montana concludes with Tricia Goyer, Author and Family Life/Teen Expert. Drawing from her own experience as a teen mother, Tricia has spent a great deal of her life helping other young mothers. With the help of two friends and encouragement from her Pastor, she helped start the Hope Pregnancy Center and speaks to a number of groups of teen mothers. Watch this video of a teenager turned mother turned wife turned community helper and author and be inspired by what one woman did to turn a life changing situation into a passion for helping others in her community and across the country.
