Welcome to the New Jersey State Video page.
Watch these videos and be inspired by ordinary people doing extraordinary things.
We begin New Jersey with Lori Braunstein, Executive Director of Sustainable Cherry Hill. As a concerned
mother for what her children will have inherited from this generation, she did her own research and
then started a non-profit to do something about making her community and those around her sustainable.
Watch this inspiring video of one person making a huge difference and listen to her words of
encouragement and advice for those who want to do also make a difference in their
communities.
Next, we meet Suri Smith, a volunteer who feels the need to help women learn how to get treatment for
post part-um depression. Watch this video and be inspired by her passion for helping women and their
children who suffer needlessly because of lack of knowledge. Listen and see if you too can find a way
to move your community forward the way Suri has, and perhaps you will use your own passions to make a
difference in the lives of so many.
In Newark find an interview of Jeffrey Farrell and David Zurheide with Habitat For Humanity - NEWARK.
If you think you know what Habitat For Humanity is all about, you may be surprised to see what it's
doing in Newark New Jersey. Watch this video and see how in Newark this Christian-Based organization is
really embracing the whole community. Be inspired by one groups ability to rally community groups
together to make a real difference, building their communities and helping the lives of those who live
in substandard housing.
Next take a quick tour of Habitat For Humanity's House #69 in Newark, New Jersey
Moving on to Livingston we find Bradi Nathan and Terry Starr, co-founders of myworkbutterfly, com In a
twist of fate, these two strangers who share similar backgrounds, work ethics, and ideals met and
within days had formed the basic idea behind myworkbutterfly.com. Watch this video to find out how
these Moms found a hole in the social networking internet for moms and the workforce. Be inspired by
these entrepreneurs who are passionate about what they do and committed to helping Moms all across the
country and all over the world deal with all the challenges they must face to either re-enter the
workforce, or enter it for the first time, or continue after having children or even those older moms
who have parental issues to deal with as well. Empowering women and moving communities forward is what
this duo is all about.
In West Oranage we meet Nicole Fulmino and Maria Cruz, co-founders of Team Charity. Watch this video of
two amazing women who were insulted by the notion that their Millennium generation was dropping the
ball when it comes to philanthropy and serving others. With little more than a dream and each other
they began Team Charity and now two and a half years later, this non profit is engaging young
professionals to volunteer and make a difference. Be inspired by this dynamic duo who are leading by
example and showing all of us that this generation does make a difference in their community and their
state and is moving our country forward.
In Robbinsville, we find Norman Smith. Most people born with Cystic Fibrosis resign themselves to
living a life dependent upon others. Norman Smith is no ordinary man, and when he realized he was
becoming a burden to his aging parents, he decided he wanted to make his own choices, live his own life
on his own terms. The challenge was that to do this he needed a place to live and a nursing home just
wasn't going to do it. Watch this video of an incredible man who co-founded a Housing Development
company for people with disabilities. Be inspired by a man who refuses to let challenges get in his way
and who works tirelessly to help those people in need, overcoming obstacles and moving his community
forward, one development at a time.
